Exornight: A Display Font for Bold Campaign Designs

Exornight in a Halloween Product Launch Graphic

While prepping the visual assets for a seasonal product launch, I reached for Exornight as the headline font. The Exornight is a unique and attractive display font that immediately stood out with its slightly jagged edges and dark, moody curves—perfect for a horror-themed product line. When I previewed the design on mobile, the Exornight headlines maintained their clarity even at smaller sizes, which was crucial for social media feeds. The font’s distinctiveness helped it cut through the noise of the feed, ensuring the campaign message wasn’t lost in the scroll.

The Exornight isn’t just about spooky vibes; its versatility surprised me. It worked equally well for a Halloween-themed email header and a YouTube thumbnail promoting a limited-time sale. Its strong visual hierarchy made it easy to pair with supporting text, guiding the viewer’s eye from the bold title down to the call-to-action button without confusion.

Exornight for Instagram Reels Covers and Pinterest Pins

When designing a set of Instagram Reels covers for a content series centered around DIY Halloween decorations, I knew the visuals needed to be attention-grabbing. Exornight came into play as the primary font for each cover. The Exornight’s edgy character gave the thumbnails an instant sense of intrigue, making them stand out in a sea of similar content. Even when scaled down to fit the small thumbnail format, the Exornight retained enough detail to remain legible and impactful.

On Pinterest, where users often search for creative ideas, Exornight added a touch of personality to pins promoting a themed online course. The font’s uniqueness helped reinforce the brand’s identity as something bold and unconventional. By pairing Exornight with a clean sans serif font for body text, I ensured the design remained readable while still feeling visually dynamic.

Exornight in Digital Ads and Website Banners

For a digital ad campaign targeting young adults interested in horror films and themed merchandise, Exornight became the go-to choice for headlines. The Exornight’s dramatic strokes and dark tones aligned perfectly with the campaign’s mood, creating a sense of urgency and exclusivity. I tested it across multiple platforms—Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram—and found that it performed consistently well, especially when used against light backgrounds.

In website banners, Exornight worked best as a short, punchy headline. For example, “Spooktacular Sale” in Exornight immediately conveyed the event’s theme and purpose. The font’s readability on both desktop and mobile screens meant I didn’t have to compromise on design quality for different devices. It also played nicely with subtle animations, adding movement to the banner without overwhelming the viewer.

Exornight for Email Promotions and Webinar Banners

When crafting an email promotion for a Halloween-themed webinar, I wanted the subject line to grab attention before the recipient even opened the email. Using Exornight for the subject line, “Get Ready for the Scariest Webinar Ever,” felt like the perfect match. It created a sense of excitement and curiosity, increasing the open rate by a noticeable margin compared to previous campaigns using more standard fonts.

On the webinar registration page, Exornight was used sparingly but effectively. It appeared in the hero section as the main title, complemented by a contrasting sans serif font for the supporting copy. This combination allowed the Exornight to shine without making the page feel cluttered or hard to read. The result was a clean, engaging layout that kept viewers focused on the key message.

Exornight and Brand Consistency Across Campaigns

One of the biggest advantages of using Exornight is its ability to maintain brand consistency across different types of content. Whether it was a YouTube thumbnail, a Pinterest pin, or a digital ad, the font’s distinctive style helped reinforce the campaign’s identity without needing constant rebranding efforts. The Exornight became a recognizable element of the visual language, making it easier for audiences to connect with the brand over time.

However, it’s important to note that Exornight isn’t suited for every situation. It works best for short, impactful headlines rather than long blocks of text. For dense information or formal communication, a more traditional font would be better. But when the goal is to create a memorable first impression or evoke a specific mood, Exornight delivers with confidence.
